War with no Guns! A story of a war ended with guitars instead of guns. Will Watson, video production
A remarkable story is waiting to be told. A story of a war ended with guitars instead of guns. The civil war of Bouganville was the worst Pacific civil war in history, leaving 20,000 dead – 20% of the country’s inhabitants.
In 10 years of fighting, 14 peace agreements had failed. But a New Zealand peacekeeping force armed with guitars instead of guns combined with a push from the women of the country was able to bring about lasting peace.
Will Watson is producing a video documentary of this incredible story. The video below includes footage of the documentary – currently only 70% completed. Watson is seeking investment to finish the documentary and bring the story to the world. He is currently seeking GBP200,000, a worldwide film deal, viral marketing campaign and a music soundtrack.

This is great stuff, thanks for sharing! War with no guns should serve as an example and I hope the documentary will receive the accreditation it deserves.
Go brother! The need for these messages is strong. The story is one of beauty and hope; a story of a better way forward.
To engage the mainstream media in shifting the very slanted view they present of life is fundamental to changing perceptions and creating a better world.
I’m in NZ at the moment and if it’s possible would love to meet.
Kia kaha to all involved,
Duncan
